Basic Run Info:

Start: 5am, June 17, 2006, Town Park, Lake City, CO. 55 miles south of Gunnison on Hwy 149. 55 miles north of Creede on Hwy 149.

Registration: Register online, or print out an entry form from this site and send it to us. Late registartion is from 4 to 7 PM on June 16th at the Town Armory. No day-of registration. Limited to 150 runners.

Getting There: From Gunnison, CO, take Hwy 149 approx. 55 miles south. Gunnison has flights.

Course: One counter-clockwise loop; altitudes ranging from 8,600' to 13,334'; 12,000'+ elevation gain; mostly trails, some jeeproads. Middle-of-pack runner: expect 12-14 hours. 16:00 cut-off.

Aid: 5 stations with the works; 2 more water/snack stops, plus a fully stocked finish line.

Awards: First, second, & third place, men's & women's overall and in each age group.
Also, awards to:
Freak of Nature (new category thanks to Matt) - sub 8:00 (keep dreaming)
Mutant - sub 10:00 (forget about it)
Cannibal - sub 12:00 (possible)
Survivor - sub 16:00 (best choice)

Pre & Post-Race: Pre-race dinner fri. evening and awards breakfast Sun. morning included in entry fee. Guests extra. Post race - Sun. 8:30 am. Hall Realty breakfast - Town Park, incl. for all runners and guests. Do stick around for great finisher & age awards. Also, copious raffling.

Entry Fees: $90.00 postmarked by May 15, $110.00 thereafter. If you drop by May 15, we will refund half the fee, as long as there is someone on the waiting list to take your place. After May 15, no refunds, no exceptions. Smile, it's for a good cause. Cancelled check is your confirmation. Those on the waiting list will be notified by email if their entry is confirmed.
