Getting There: From Gunnison,
CO, take Hwy 149 approx. 55 miles south. Gunnison has flights. From
Creede, CO, take Hwy 149 approx. 55 miles north. Cinnamon and Engineer
passes are also options if you are coming from Silverton or Ouray
and have 4WD, but note that they are no faster than going around on
the highway (but even more scenic!).
